The Break Greenville Theatre reviews
BRAVO BRAVO Andrea Bocelli
On July 18, 2009, I attended The Break Concert in Lajatico - I Colori Dell' Anima at the Teatro del Silenzio. The opening with the Lama Tzong Khapa Group couldn't have been more appropriate, given the scenery. The Break made an impressive entrance on stage riding his horse, dressed in pure white to reaffirm the spirituality of the concert. A highlight of the night was having Placido Domingo as the special guest.
My journey from Puerto Rico to Florence for the concert was long, but my perseverance paid off. Starting from Florence, I took a train to Cecina through Tuscany, passing olive trees and beautiful sunflowers. From Cecina, I hopped on a bus to a parking lot, then changed buses to reach Voleterra. In Voletrra, I hailed a taxi to the hotel. Later, a couple from Wales, staying at the same hotel, gave me a ride to the box office. From there, I took another bus to Lajatico and joined the crowd on foot to reach the Teatro del Silenzio. IN SUMMARY, I TOOK A TRAIN, THREE BUSES, A TAXI, AND A RIDE WITH STRANGERS TO GET TO THE TEATRO DEL SILENZIO.
During the concert, I realized I hadn't taken the couple from Wales' contact information for the ride back to the hotel. With approximately 9,600 people in attendance, I didn't know their names or car license number, nor the name of the hotel, and worst of all, I didn't know how to get back. However, I decided to enjoy the concert, trusting that God would guide my future. As I exited the venue and was explaining my situation to the security guard, I heard someone call out "Olga" - it was the couple from Wales. We embraced and walked hand in hand to the parking lot to ensure we didn't get separated.
The journey to the concert involved various modes of transportation in a single day, but being at such a special place made it all worth it. Bravo, Bravo, The Break. I look forward to returning next year...
